January 2019 New Moon Money Theme: Financial Stability
The first new moon of 2019 is calling us to clean up our shame, guilt, poor money beliefs and behaviors in order to create a firm foundation for our finances. Shifting your beliefs and behaviors will require healing your money aura.
Your money aura is an energy field. Either your energy field attracts abundance or it attracts scarcity. Either you are a money magnet or you are a debt magnet. Either you are attracting financial opportunities or you are attracting financial challenges.
The good news is that you are in complete control of your money aura. The bad news is that you are in complete control of your money aura. Oh, the wonders of life.
This new moon is an invitation to heal our money aura as a collective and individually. The focus of this new moon is to clean up our behaviors and intentionally create a solid financial foundation in order to attract abundance.
How do you attract abundance?
Become aware of your poor money beliefs and replacing them with rich money beliefs. A poor money belief is saying things like, “Being a dancer is hard. Why don’t people support me?” A rich money belief is saying things like, “Being a dancer is fun! I’m so excited to make bank doing what I love.”
You can shift these beliefs by stating affirmations to yourself in the mirror such as “I deserve an overflowing bank account”, “I am a money magnet”, “I deserve to live of life full of abundance.”
Remove feelings of shame and guilt around finances. This will require forgiving yourself for past poor money choices.
Healing your money aura also relates to strengthening your chakras. Your chakras are the physical energy fields that we all have.
Have you ever heard someone say, or thought to yourself, “Wow, that person has a great energy!” You are referring to their chakras.
When your chakras are clear and balanced, you attract abundance into your life. When they are clogged and imbalanced, you attract scarcity. The chakra focus for this new moon is your root chakra.
The root chakra is associated with the following functions or behavioral characteristics:
Basic needs (food, sleep, shelter, self-preservation, etc.)
Physicality, physical identity and aspects of self
Support and foundation for living our lives
The root chakra provides the foundation on which we build our life. It supports us in growing and feeling safe into exploring all the aspects of life. It is related to our feeling of safety and security, whether it’s physical or regarding our bodily needs or metaphorical regarding housing and financial safety. The root chakra is where we ground ourselves into the earth and anchor our energy into the manifest world. (Source: Chakras Info)
A person with an malnourished root chakra will find it hard to find financial stability. A person with an overactive root chakra will be driven by greed and paranoia that someone is trying to steal from them.
The goal is to have a balanced root chakra. So that you are financially secure and feel safe, grounded and at peace.
How do you balance your root chakra?
Surround yourself with the color red. This can be red roses, red candles and red clothing.
Focus on exercises and stretches that strengthen your core. This can be through dance, pilates or yoga classes.
Organize your finances. Set up your bookkeeping program. Pay off old bills and get caught up on your taxes, or at least make the financial plan to do so.
Remember, you can not bring in the new if you do not clear up the old. Harness the power of this new moon to help you clear the way for your #ShineTime.
