Nick and I made a promise to ourselves this year to treat each weekend like a vacation. Here’s a look into how we chose to spend our weekend…
Plantains. Golden sweat. Prowl. Drums.
Do you remember?
Instincts. Playfully cunning. Patient. Whispers.
Do you remember?
Secrets only lovers know
Games only girls can play
Groovy waistlines, entrancing feet gliding to the hypnotic beat
Do you remember
That everything you touch turns to gold.
Total spent this weekend: $71.34
Friday night was date night in. Nick was on the grill and whipped up a delicious steak, potatoes and salad dish. Then we watched our new favorite show- Succession- before calling it a night. I also received my photos that I did for a swim shoot at Gray Cove near Half Moon Bay.
The next day, I attended Athleta’s Jet, Style, and Set event in Walnut Creek. I am so excited that Athleta is now one of the partners for the Walnut Creek Socialites.
After doing a fitting with Socialites, Alejandra and Maritza, I headed out on a hike with Nick. We did a new hike in the Mt. Diablo area. It was about seven miles and very very hilly. It was a fantastic glute and cardio workout. AND we saw a bobcat and tons of turkeys on the trail. Turkeys are symbolism for abundance- so fun.
The hike is the Eagle Peak Trail and was recommended to me by one of my former private clients, an interior designer in the Bay Area.
Let’s all have a moment of silence for these white shades that broke about two hours after this photo was taken.
I woke up Sunday morning craving a dance class. I decided to take the Afro Samba class at the Beat in Berkeley led by Jacque Barnes. Jacque is a LEGEND, and credited with being one of the pioneers in bringing samba dance to the Bay Area.
The class was exactly the church I needed.
Cheers to celebrating every moment this weekend.
