Glow Day at The Landing Resort
/If you’re hanging out a ski resort wondering what you can do that doesn’t involve wearing twenty pounds of clothing, and still being cold, falling every five minutes and bruising your precious body, then I encourage you to check out one of their local spas.

One day, I will learn how to ski and snowboard, but this last mountain vacation was not going to be the day. All I wanted to do was drink wine, look at the pretty mountains and be pampered.
As my friends and boyfriend left to hit the hill, I dialed the spa downstairs to book a massage for mid-afternoon.
We stayed at The Landing Resort in South Lake Tahoe. A beautiful hotel tucked away next to the Tahoe beach. The owners held a launch party in 2014, in which Heidi Klum and Babyface both attended. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle to the main Village where all of the restaurants and festivities are held. But, you can also easily walk to the Village as well. Especially during a clear weekend like ours.
My Glow Day began with a meditation and visualization in the room. And then a casual stroll to the beach.
Tahoe beach with Mount Tallac in the background. Such a beautiful weekend.
I walked to the Village to grab breakfast and do some window shopping.
Had a fun walk around the Village...
and stumbled across this awesome store.
Getting back to the hotel around 12:30, I grabbed my laptop to do some work while eating at the Jimmy’s Restaurant located inside the resort.
Burrata Salad tomato, balsamic reduction, imported Greek olive oil
Domaine Sainte Rose: the pears and strawberry description sold me.
I arrived at my appointment twenty minutes before to check-in and take advantage of the steam shower. What a delicious experience. After my shower, my masseuse prepared a calming, green hot tea before heading into my room.
OMG. What an experience. In addition to the hot stones, she used a Biotone Eucalyptus body oil that made my skin feel like heaven. Sometimes massages are not relaxing for me. Especially if I’ve been stressed and have a lot of knots in my neck and upper back. But, this felt 100% luxurious and my body felt loose and calm.
The next day, when everyone was complaining about aches and pains, my body felt like I could run a marathon. Hmmmm mmmmm. My kinda ski vacation. Hot stone massages for the win.
Now I'd love to hear from you!
