Money Date: 4/5/2019

Hi friends!

If you’ve been reading Money & Mimosas for a while, you know that I encourage everyone to do a weekly money date, which includes treating yourself to a mimosa over the weekend with your girlfriends. If this is your first time learning about the Money & Mimosas date, click here to learn more.

Every week, I share how much money I spent and then set an intention for the following week.

Welcome to my money diary…

This Week’s Money Diary

This week was a really fun week. It kicked off with a spring fashion trend photoshoot with the Walnut Creek Socialites.

On Wednesday night, me and Socialite Alexis hit the town in Walnut Creek. We did line dancing at Bourbon Highway, tried fun new mimosas at Teleferic and talked about money! She loved the Master Your Money program and is motivated to to improve her money managing skills and put some money into her savings every week.

On Thursday night, Nick and I took a field trip to the Exploratorium to experience After Dark. Every Thursday night is adult night, and we had a blast sipping on drinks while playing in the interactive, science museum. Our friend works there and gave us free tickets. We ended up spending a little over $50 total on drinks. We split everything 50/50, so my total spend was $29.21.

This weekend I’m going to do a deep dive into Q1 and reflect on what I want to bring forward into Q2 and what I want to sunset. As I shared in my new moon post yesterday, I am exploring opportunities and partnerships that nourish my creative desires. As a financial expert, I feel that I’m often placed in a box. A box that pressures me to look a certain way, act a certain way, and only pursue money-making opportunities that fall within the traditional accountant business model. But, I’m not traditional.

Money & Mimosas is a resource for women to elevate their financial skills while living life to the fullest. It’s a lifestyle that is founded on the belief that life is meant to be celebrated every moment. Every moment is an opportunity to experience magic and indulge in life’s little luxuries. And that is the essence I wish to embody within my journey as an entrepreneur.

My Intention for Next Week

Next week I’m doing some traveling and have several meetings lined up with partners. My intention is to continue creating new content (I’m bursting at the seams to share it with you all!) and continue to nurture my money mindset, as well as my inner/ outer glow with beauty meditations and treatments.
