Oprah's Advice For Creating Your 2020 Vision

In mid 2019, Oprah announced that she was going on a tour around the United States in 2020 with WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) to inspire others to live their best lives. While the tour is centered around health, the discussions will include overall wellness such as career strategy and relationships. The intention is invite attendees to get clear on what they want in life and to connect their mind, body and spirt with this desire.

If you are like me, you love Oprah. She is the epitome of a woman walking in her purpose and living out the dream of her higher self. She is a gift to our generation and has given us so many tools to discover our center. She is a billionaire, vibrant, creating a lasting positive impact on the world and so much more.

There is so much we can learn from Oprah and she’s sharing her wisdom during her nine-city tour.

Oprah's 2020 Vision Tour

The tour kicked off in Sunrise, Florida this weekend and will continue toInglewood., San Francisco, St. Paul, Dallas, Charlotte, Atlanta, Brooklyn and Denver. She will be joined by other celebrities including Lady Gaga, The Rock, Tina Fey and other surprise guests.

Oprah partnered with Black Girls Run and Latinas Run to launch her tour yesterday in Sunrise, FL. To celebrate the kick-off she chatted with the TODAY to share her tips on how to live your best life. The quote that resonated the most with me was:

You can only heal the world when you heal yourself.
— Oprah

This has been a lesson that I continue to learn. I can’t give what I don’t have, and if I want to change the world it starts with changing my world, first. This is why the foundation of Money & Mimosas is self-love. Financial freedom is a journey of self-love. When we heal our relationship with money, we not only elevate our lives. We also elevate the lives of others and do our part to eliminate the devastating wealth inequality that is causing the majority of the world’s social ills.

Oprah has attained her wealth because she is devoted to her inner journey. Her tour, and everything she shares about her life, is an invitation to all of us to embark on our journey of self-discovery. This is the meaning of a rich life and it is reflected with an abundance in our bank accounts, an abundance of elevated experiences, fulfilling relationships and much more.

How do we embark on this path? In her interview with TODAY, Oprah shared three tips for us to create the life we desire in 2020.

Three Tips For Elevating Your Life in 2020

  1. Find stillness. Whether this is prayer, meditation, or one minute of deep breathing in the shower, intentionally carve out time to discover your center and stillness within every day.

  2. Ask yourself, what do I want? As Oprah says, this is the most important question we can ask ourselves. Gaining clarity on what you want will allow you to dream a grand vision for your life and this vision will be supported by forces that are aligned with our highest consciousness. 3. Practice gratitude. When we are grateful for what we have, we are blessed with more abundance. This is one of the seven keys to shifting a scarcity money mindset to an abundant mindset. Write down three things you are grateful for everyday and witness your life magically elevate in 2020.

Now I want to hear from you! What is your vision for 2020?
